I staired at the piece for a while and just observed.Eugene this is really good.It feels like that beautiful blend of reality and caracature (leaning more towards reality) that Rockwell was able to tap into.Only this is your own unique style. He also reminds me of the actor Ian Mekellen with a beard. Thank you for your kind words on my blog.I need to update it.
Thank you very much Tony. It is in fact taken from a photo of Ian Mckellen I pulled from google. Not trying to do perfect portraits. I find photo realistic portraits a bit cold. They're good and take skill but a photo will do for me if I want it that perfect! Haha. I'm sort of realizing that it's all in the eyes. If you spend enough time on them, than the viewer will likely spend some time there too:)
